MARIN COUNTY (KRON) — Heavy rains, flooding, sinkholes, and standing water are creating traffic problems for commuters along Highway 101 and on side streets in Marin County.
The Mill Valley police department is going so far as to say people should stay home if they don’t need to venture outside.
Due to heavy traffic congestion & flooding in Mill Valley everyone is advised to remain at home unless you MUST leave.

Sausalito police are reporting serious flooding in the Gate Six Road area including the Bridgeway on-ramp to northbound Hwy 101 with one lane with standing water, the Northbound 101 off-ramp to Sausalito/Marin City – 2 of 3 lanes have standing water, On-ramp to Southbound Hwy 101 from Marin City is closed and westbound Bridge Street under Hwy 101 has standing water.
