SAN JOSE (KRON) — A motorist traveling through the South Bay on Wednesday afternoon lost control of their car, drove into thick brush, and struck a tree.
San Jose firefighters say if hadn’t been for the tree, the vehicle would have plunged 150 feet down hill.
Crews have kept busy throughout the Bay Area during this latest round of heavy rain that has seen downed trees, a large sinkhole in San Francisco, and several reports of flooding and mud and rock slides. There have been more than two dozen vehicle collisions in Sonoma County, none involving serious injuries, since early this morning, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
