SFO Reports 240 Cancellations

San Francisco International Airport says 240 flights have been cancelled on Thursday.

The cancellations are affecting mostly short haul flights along the west coast, and cancellations are an even split between arriving and departing flights.

Officials say travelers can expect anywhere from 60-90 minute delays.

Some airlines are allowing customers to re-book their flights without any change fee. It is recommended that passengers check with their airline before heading to the airport.

SFO is also reporting a food service work strike that is impacting food establishments, however the airport officials say more than 80% of restaurants are open, and retail establishments are also open.
