CLARK, NJ (KRON) — New Jersey State Police say road crews have restored a sign on the Garden State Parkway that someone had turned into a “Christmas Vacation” prank on Thursday.
Pictures appeared on social media showing someone had taped over the sign for the Clark and Westfield exit to read “Clark Griswold.”
That’s the name of the character Chevy Chase played in the Christmas movie classic “Christmas Vacation.”
Officials confirmed the pictures on Twitter and Facebook were the real thing. Some highway workers had to take time form their holiday to peel the taped-on sign away and reveal the real exit.
