OAKLAND (KRON) — Protests aimed at opposing police brutality in other parts of the country are turning violent Christmas even in Oakland.
The “No Time Off” March started at about 5:00 p.m. near 14th and Broadway in Oakland.
By 8:00 p.m. photos posted on social media showed demonstrators breaking store windows and confronting police officers.
The organizers say they named the demonstration “No Time Off” because they don’t want police officers to be able to spend the holidays with their families.
