1-Alarm Fence Fire in San Jose Quickly Extinguished

SAN JOSE — A one-alarm fire that sparked on a fence between two homes in East San Jose early this morning was quickly extinguished, a fire captain said.

Firefighters responded to a report of a fire in the 3200 block of Norwood Avenue at 2:49 a.m., San Jose fire Capt. Peter Caponio said.

Crews arrived to find a fence on fire that did not spread to any adjacent homes, Caponio said.

The blaze was under control shortly after 3 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
