BALTIMORE, Maryland (KRON) — A Maryland man says a criminal gang told him to carry a gun and drugs into a Baltimore police station to test security there.
29-year old Jason Armstrong was arrested after walking into the Northeastern Division Headquarters for the Baltimore P.D. reportedly smelling of cannabis.
Officers searched him and came up with a 22-caliber handgun with a bullet in the chamber along with pot and cocaine.
Armstrong told detectives his superiors in the Black Guerrilla Family gang ordered him to try to smuggle the contraband into the station as a test of security.
Armstrong now faces drug and gun charges. Security is tighter in other Baltimore police stations following the incident.
