Santa Monica’s Stunning Hotel Casa Del Mar

(KRON) — What’s on your Santa Monica checklist? Beach time? Yes! The historic Santa Monica Pier? Absolutely. Dining, shopping, a quick stroll south through Venice Beach? No doubt. How about a convenient, luxurious hotel with its own unique story? For that, let me recommend Hotel Casa Del Mar.

Originally built in 1926 as a grand opulent beach club hotel and the premier playground for Hollywood A-listers, the family-owned Hotel Casa Del Mar reemerged in October 1999, as one of the most well-appointed addresses on the West Coast. Hotel Casa Del Mar offers luxurious décor, sophisticated accommodations, lively public spaces, and an overall indulgent and relaxing ambiance. “Absolutely 5 star from the valet to the front desk. I would recommend to anyone”, said Matt Hancock of Houston Texas

The hotel is adjacent to the historic Santa Monica Pier, the dynamic Third Street Promenade, the popular upscale shopping and dining areas of Main Street and Montana Avenue, as well as the gardens, walkways and expansive ocean panoramas of cliff-top Palisades Park.

On the Beach

So what do you need from a luxury beach hotel? First off, it has to be right on the beach – across the street is too far. You want to step out the back door and straight into sand for a brisk morning walk. Rent a bike, go for quick surf or just enjoy the sunshine with a glass of white wine and a good book. Don’t forget your sunscreen.

Although that last one is my favorite, there’s only so much sun bathing one person can do before seeking other entertainments. The most fabled attraction on the beach is the iconic Santa Monica Pier. With its fishing, dancing, people-watching and nightly light show provided by the spectacular Ferris wheel, there’s no shortage of fun to be had. The Santa Monica Pier Aquarium is also nearby. “Casa Del Mar is an amazing beach resort, best views in Santa Monica! Floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the Pacific coastline”, said hotel guest Shawn Bauer.

Guest Rooms

Hotel Casa del Mar offers 129 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites, imparting the ambiance of a chic beach estate. Most rooms offer panoramic views of the Pacific coastline, while others offer cityscapes of Santa Monica. Each large guest room is accented with shades of calming blue that draw upon the hotel’s iconic seaside location, stately windows adorned with ivory sateen draperies, and high ceilings. Opulent baths feature white Italian marble walls and floors, light fixtures finished in silver leaf, whirlpool tubs with frosted pan-windows opening into the guest rooms.

Sea Wellness Spa

An intimate retreat within a luxurious, eco-minded setting, the Sea Wellness Spa at Hotel Casa Del Mar is one of the leading spa and wellness retreats within its seaside location of Santa Monica, CA. Redesigned in 2010 by Rachel Winokur of Etta Designs, the spa offers five treatment rooms, including a couple’s room and a yoga studio and fitness room.

Fine Dining

You can’t walk twenty steps through Santa Monica without bumping into a fine restaurant. In this case, you don’t even have to leave the hotel for delicious food and clear views of the Pacific Ocean. Catch restaurant, offers a modern American take on seafood favorites, and Terrazza Lounge features a selection of craft cocktails, wines by the bottle and on-tap, and seasonal draft beers. Guests can pull up a chair and enjoy a cocktail alongside a small plate while listening to the live nightly entertainment. “A fantastically amazing beachfront hotel in Santa Monica. The staff was amazing and very professional. Our party attendant was on the ball and gave us exceptional service”, said Tony Talley of La Jolla California.

Hotel Casa Del Mar is the complete package, offering luxurious surroundings just a few steps away from the Pacific Ocean. Whether your goal is business, shopping, gourmet indulgence or sublime relaxation: this is the ticket.
