WEST PALM BEACH, Florida (KRON) — A Florida teenager isn’t facing criminal charges even though police say they caught him inside a hospital pretending to be a doctor.
The unidentified teen was reportedly walking around in a white doctor’s lab coat and carrying a stethoscope.
A patient in the OB/GYN department at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach alerted authorities that they had seen a young man “who appeared to be a child” dressed as a doctor inside an exam room. A security guard said he had seen the teen around the hospital for a month and assumed he was a doctor.
The teen’s mom says he is under the care of a presumably real doctor but refuses to take his medication.
Authorities say it does not appear the young man broke any laws and so he has not been charged.
