FAIRFIELD (KRON) — A 38-year old Fairfield resident is facing felony charges for allegedly repeatedly molesting a child under the age of ten.
Police arrested Fabian Salazar at his home on San Andreas Street on Thursday while serving a search warrant.
Investigators say they have been looking for evidence against Salazar since getting the initial report of the alleged molestation in November of last year. Police say the suspect knew the victim and appeared to have repeatedly engaged in illegal sexual contact for at least two months.
Salazar is now in the Solano County Jail on $2 million bond. He’s charged with several felonies just one of which carries a possible sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
Police say they have had contact with Salazar in the past on a variety of other charges including forgery, theft, DUI, and several traffic offenses.
Investigators are still looking into the case and would like any other potential victims or their families to come forward.
