SAN JOSE (KRON) — Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that hit and killed a pedestrian in San Jose before speeding off.
The accident happened at about 6:20 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Almaden Expy & Via Monte Dr.
Police say it’s unclear if the woman who was hit was in a marked crosswalk at the time. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are questioning witnesses. So far there’s no description of the vehicle that hit the woman or the driver. Detectives are examining a bumper that may have fallen off the vehicle during the wreck
