SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco State officials are investigating a sexual battery incident on campus.
Police say they received a call from a student at 12:42 a.m. who reported that an unknown male forcefully grabbed her on the campus pathway between Burk Hall and the Student Health Center and pulled her into the bushes next to the Burk Hall trash bins.
The suspect then pointed a sharp object at her side and groped her breasts and groin area.
As the victim began to cry she says the suspect would tell her to “shut up”.
He later ran away in an unknown direction.
Officials say that prior to the incident the victim noticed the suspect sitting at the metal tables by the exterior restaurants at the Cesar Chavez Student Center. The suspect followed the victim from this location until the incident occurred.
The suspect is described as man in his late 20’s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium build, wearing a grey hoodie-style sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to call San Francisco State Police.
