Four Men Arrested in Connection with Mission Stabbing

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) — Four men were arrested early Sunday morning on suspicion of stabbing a man in San Francisco’s Mission District, a police spokeswoman said.

San Francisco police spokeswoman Officer Grace Gatpandan said a group of people were walking out of a restaurant near the intersection of Mission and 19th streets around 2:40 a.m. Sunday when a group of men, allegedly armed with knives and sticks, confronted them.

A fight ensued and a 30-year-old man suffered a laceration to the arm. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Gatpandan said.

Officers arrived at the scene and took four San Francisco men into custody, according to Gatpandan.

Police arrested 36-year-old Angel Chel and 26-year-old Miquel Canto, both on suspicion of three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, battery causing serious bodily injury, making criminal threats, and conspiracy, Gatpandan said.

Anandey Perez-Lemus, 22, and Dennis Sanchez, 20, both were arrested on suspicion of three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of conspiracy, according to Gatpandan.

The motive for the fight remains under investigation.
