ORINDA (KRON) — A shelter in place order has been lifted in Orinda after weather conditions resulted in broken power poles and a downed power line, according to police.
According to Orinda police Sgt. Michael Berry, the order was automatically lifted after one hour.
“We had a bunch of downed power lines,” Berry said. “We did a shelter in place based upon the fire departments recommendation.”
Police sent out an alert about the downed lines shortly before 12:55 p.m. and said residents should stay inside and close all windows and doors.
