CONCORD (BCN) — Police arrested a 36-year-old Concord resident on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment after the driver’s car veered off the roadway and rolled over this afternoon, police said.
Officers responded at 2:09 p.m. to a report of a hit-and-run collision and rollover on Treat Boulevard near Navaronne Way, police said.
Further investigation revealed there was only one car involved in the crash, police said.
The driver apparently lost control of the car and police said the car flipped over two times.
Officers arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment, police said. The child was taken to a hospital and as of around 6:30 p.m., police said the child was in stable condition.
Police said the driver was booked in the county jail in Martinez but declined to identify the driver.
The westbound lanes of Treat Boulevard were partially closed for approximately two hours while officers investigated the scene, police said.
