American Canyon Police Arrest Man on Suspicion of Burglarizing Vehicles

AMERICAN CANYON (BCN)– American Canyon police arrested a Vallejo man Thursday morning on suspicion of burglarizing vehicles, a Napa County sheriff’s captain said.

Police responded around 3 a.m. to a report of suspicious persons looking into vehicles in the 3800 block of Broadway near the Fairfield Inn and Suites, Capt. Doug Pike said.

When police arrived two people fled in a black Dodge Avenger that was reported stolen Jan. 4 in San Francisco.

The vehicle crashed on Kimberly Drive in American Canyon and the occupants fled, but police arrested 18-year-old Davion Latrell Jones of Vallejo on Brophy Street, Pike said. The driver of the Dodge was not located.

Police later found six vehicles that had been forcibly entered.

Jones was booked into the Napa County Jail for burglary and resisting an officer.
