EAST PALO ALTO (KRON) — A your girl has been found after being taken in a custody dispute.
Just after 8 a.m, a teacher at the Cesar Chavez Academy called East Palo Alto police about a 9-year-old girl who was taken from her classroom.
School staff was able to give police a thorough description of the woman as well as her car.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the parents of the young girl were involved in a custody dispute and that the girl was taken by her mother.
Through the CHP system, EPAPD issued an Endangered Missing Person Alert (EMP).
Soon after the alert was issued, the girl and her mother were found unharmed in Campbell.
East Palo Alto Police are still interviewing the involved people as part of their investigation.
