SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A San Francisco man has lost his finger after an overnight fight in the Bernal Heights neighborhood.
Officers with the San Francisco Police Department said the fight happened on Mission Street just south of Cesar
Chavez Street around 1 a.m.
The suspect, a 30 year old man, is accused of biting off the right index finger of the 27-year-old man he was fighting with.
The victim told police that the other man ran off after biting his finger.
He was taken to the hospital with what police are calling non-life-threatening injuries.
The finger was recovered, but was not able to be reattached.
Police said that the suspect has not yet been arrested and the assault remains under investigation.
