SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A man was found guilty on several felony charges involving a young girl, including rape, unlawful intercourse with a minor, pandering and pimping according to the San Francisco district attorney’s office.
Jamie Marcelo, 34, preyed on the 16-year-old victim who he knew was a minor. In October 2010 he first lured the victim into his home where he detained her for a month. During that time Marcelo was arrested for slashing the tires of a man Marcelo believed wasn’t paying enough for sex with the victim, according to prosecutors.
A warrant was issued for Marcelo’s arrest in February 2011. He was taken into custody while trying to cross the U.S. border to Mexico on July 30th, 2013 according to prosecutors.
“This young woman was terrorized by this predator, but (Wednesday) the community held him accountable for his violent crimes,” District Attorney George Gascon said in a statement. “He preyed upon this victim’s vulnerabilities, such as the fact that she was disadvantaged and undocumented.”
