OAKLAND (KRON) — Surveillance video just released Friday shows two Fremont High School security officer drag a student.
The assault happened in January, but Oakland Unified School District just received a request from a local attorney for the video.
Superintendent Antwan Wilson has deemed the attack disturbing, unacceptable, and traumatic.
The two security officers in the video have been placed on paid-leave while the district conducts its own investigation into the attack.
This event is just before two school security officers are accused of assaulting a wheelchair-bound student at Oakland High in May 2014.
These events suggest, as Wilson puts it, a systemic problem with Oakland school security.
