SAN PEDRO (KRON) — The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has canceled a statewide AMBER Alert for a missing Southern California boy on Monday.
1-year-old Jayden Santiago was found safe and the suspect, Giovany Santiago-Enriquez, his father, is in custody, according to police. Police say he was located by U.S. Marshalls in Tijuana, Mexico, south of San Diego.
According to police, the suspect went home to the city of Long Beach, took his son and fled from the location in a 2006 Nissan 4 door, License Plate 5UCF010.
The 37-year-old suspect shares custody of the boy, however, the whereabouts of the child at this time are unknown, police said.
The boy was described as a Hispanic male dressed in a light brown and green sweater, green and brown onesie with stripes and black and white Nike Shoes.
Police said Santiago-Enriquez was armed and dangerous and should be approached with caution.
