Four People Sustain Major Injuries After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree

SANTA CLARA COUNTY (BCN) — Four people suffered major injuries when a vehicle collided with a tree in unincorporated Santa Clara County this morning, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection officials said.

Cal Fire personnel responded to the crash in the 4500 block of Felter Road at 12:28 a.m. One or more victims had to be extricated from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life, Spring Valley Fire Department Chief Mike Hacke said.

Two people were transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and the two others to the Regional Medical Center of San Jose, a Cal Fire official said. All four were conscious and breathing when they left the collision site, Hacke said.

Firefighters with the Milpitas Fire Department assisted in the response.
