ANTIOCH (KRON) — A good Samaritan and her dog helped rescue a high school student whose car flipped over on Highway 4 this morning in Antioch.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer John Fransen, the woman and her dog (named “Frankie Furter”) stopped to aid the teen boy and stayed by his side until CHP officers were able to reach the scene.
The woman let the teenager to sit in her car holding Frankie while she called his parents to let them know what happened, Fransen said.
The driver was uninjured in the crash, although he was “pretty shaken up,” Fransen said.
He said the young man’s seatbelt likely saved his life.
