Fairfield Community Meeting to Discuss Sex Offender’s Release

SOLANO COUNTY (KRON) — The Solano County Sheriff’s Office is holding a community meeting tonight to discuss the release of Fraisure Smith, a high-risk convicted sex offender.

Smith was convicted in 2006 for assault with intent to commit rape and served jail time.  He filed a petition with the Solano County Superior Court to be released to a residence on Willotta Drive in Fairfield, according to officials.

Today’s community meeting regarding Smith’s placement is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Clayton Fire Station at 4965 Clayton Road in unincorporated Fairfield. Sheriff’s officials will answer questions and address concerns about Smith’s proposed placement.

All are invited to attend and discuss the matter.
