People Behaving Badly: Cupid’s Span

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — In 2002, Cupid’s Span was donated to Port of San Francisco. It is art work, not monkey bars, however, the port has had a hard time trying to keep people from climbing it.

There are signs that read please do not enter native grass area or here is the important part touch the sculpture. Yet, people climb on the span though they’re not supposed to and consequently they fall then blame everyone else but themselves.

They also etch their name into the paint, vandalizing the sculpture by tagging it and rolling up it with skate boards and other wheeled vehicles.

KRON 4’s Stanley Roberts visits Cupid’s Span and caught…a few people behaving badly.
