ANTIOCH (KRON) — One person has died after a Tri-Delta bus crashed into car in Antioch Thursday morning.
The crashed happened around 5:46 a.m., near the intersection of Davison Drive and Burwood Way.
At least one man, the driver of the car, died at the scene after being ejected from the car.
He has not been identified yet.
Four of the six people on the bus also asked to be taken to the hospital because of minor injuries from the accident.
The male driver of the bus was not injured.
According to Tri Delta Transit CEO Jeanne Krieg, the collision occurred when the bus was traveling east on Davison Drive
when a Saturn traveling north on Burwood Way pulled in front of it.
The bus driver lost control after the accident and jumped the center divider, finally crashing into a hill.
Neighbors say this is a busy intersection, and has been problematic in the past.
