OAKLAND (KRON) — An arrest has been made in connection with an Oakland sexual assault of a child that happened on January 27th, 2015.
Police arrested 48-year-old Miguel Baraja on Tuesday, and the Alameda County District Attorneys office charged him today. Baraja is accused of luring a 10-year-old boy who was walking down the 1100 block of 98th Avenue to a nearby area and sexually assaulting him.
The boy then fled and told his parents what had happened, police said.
According to the Oakland Police Department, “The key to the resolution of this case was the victim’s bravery in coming forward, and the diligence of Oakland Police service technicians, patrol officers, and investigators.”
