Dead body found in Sonoma County identified

SONOMA COUNTY (KRON) — According to the Sonoma County Coroner’s Office, the deceased body found in Sonoma County last night was 64-year-old Ronald Gordon Sauvageau.

On Tuesday, an autopsy will be done to find out the cause of his death.

Last night, the Sonoma County Police Department received a report that someone discarded a couch cushion and barrel in front of City Hall. According to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies went to the scene and found a 55-gallon barrel covered in a plastic tarp with dried blood on the outside, and found the deceased body inside the barrel.

After Deputies received leads, they went to Acacia Grove Mobile Home Park located in Sonoma Valley. Deputies detained two men. After interviewing the men, they arrested 40-year-old Christopher McNatt from Sonoma. McNatt was booked for murder into the Main Adult Detention Facility.

According to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office, detectives from their Violent Crimes unit are still investigating this homicide.
