Man robs bank in the Mission with kitchen knife

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A kitchen knife-wielding man robbed a bank in San Francisco’s Mission Terrace neighborhood Monday afternoon, according to police.

The suspect, described as a man around 35 to 40 years old, entered a bank in the 4600 block of Mission Street near Ocean Avenue at about 3 p.m. Monday, according to police.

According to police, the man approached the bank teller, pointing the knife at her as he demanded money.  The second bank teller handed over the cash and the suspect fled.  Police say the man was last seen heading north on Mission Street and is still at large.
