RICHMOND (KRON) — Richmond police think that a homeless woman found dead Friday night may have been murdered.
52-year-old Kelly Fiore was found dead in a parking lot next to an abaondoned building at the corner of 23rd Street and Preble Avenue around 11:30 Friday night.
Police called her death suspicious, but stopped short of calling it a homicide.
According to Richmond Police Sergeant Nicole Abetkov, it appears Fiore may have been strangled.
Her official cause of death is still under investigation.
Police have not identified any suspects in the case and are asking for the public’s help.
