SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Through 4 a.m. Tuesday, San Francisco had only received .35 an inch of rain, but despite the fairly low rainfall amount, flooding is being reported in the city.
The California Highway Patrol reports that there is some flooding at the junction of U.S. Highway 101 and Interstate Highway 80.
The first report of that area flooding came in at 2:39 a.m.
One lane of eastbound I-80 just west of Seventh Street is submerged and another is partially flooded because of a blocked drain, according to CHP.
The transition lanes from the 101 to the Central freeway are flooded and the two right lanes of transition from the James Lick Freeway to the 80 eastbound are also flooded.
