ORINDA (KRON) — An overturned vehicle is causing major traffic delays on eastbound Highway 24 into Orinda during Thursday’s evening commute.
At 6:55 p.m., a car in the eastbound lanes of Hwy 24 lost control, careened off the center divide, flipped over and landed in the slow lane, according to California Highway Patrol.
The driver got out of the car and started walking around, according to the CHP.
Traffic is backed up and is affecting traffic into the Oakland area of the Caldecott Tunnel. It should be about a thirty minute delay.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes while crews work to clear the accident.
