MILPITAS (KRON) — Police are looking for a female drive who struck and badly injured a bicyclist before crashing her car into a miniature golf course Sunday.
According to officers, the hit-and-run happened around 4:36 p.m. on Jacklin Raod near Interstate Highway 680.
The suspect was driving a red four-door 2012 Nissan Sentra when she struck the cyclist. According to police, the victim was a 30-year-old man who was discovered lying on the ground.
He was transported to the hospital with injuries considered major, but non-life threatening.
Officers located the heavily damaged Nissan at the scene, where it had crashed into a building outside the Golfland miniature golf park at 1199 Jacklin Road and was abandoned by the driver, according to police.
The driver was described as a woman in her 30s who had fled after the car struck the bicyclist and building, police said.
