Warriors Advance to Round Two of NBA Playoffs After Sweeping New Orleans Pelicans

NEW ORLEANS (KRON)- The Golden State Warriors can breathe easy after sweeping the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round of NBA playoffs.

The Warriors beat the Pelicans 109-98 on New Orleans’ home court at the Smoothie King Center.

Stephen Curry hit six 3-pointers during the game. Klay Thompson added 25 points for the Warriors and Draymond Green scored 22 points and 10 rebounds for Golden State.

This win comes after the Warriors came from behind to win game 3 Thursday in overtime.

Stephen Curry tied that game with a 3-pointer with 3.5 seconds left in regulation play.

The Chicago Bulls went into their game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks looking for a sweep Saturday, too.

But that hope was shut down after the Bucks beat the Bulls 92-90.
