AC Transit schedules detours to avoid May Day protests

OAKLAND (KRON) — Alameda County’s AC Transit is being proactive as it plans for planned May Day protests in Oakland, scheduling detours to avoid scheduled protests.

Lines 31, 57, 658, 662, and C will be detoured Friday morning, May 1, from beginning of service until 11:00 a.m.

The last regular stop for Line 31 to MacArthur BART will be on 40th Street at Emery Street. It will not serve the regular stops on 40th Street east of this point.

The first regular stop for Line 31 to Alameda will be on 40th Street at San Pablo Avenue. It will not serve the regular stops on 40th Street east of this point.

Line 57 to Emeryville and Line C to San Francisco will serve regular stops on 40th Street at Telegraph Avenue and on 40th Street at West Street, but not stops between these two points.

Line 57 to Foothill Square and lines 658 and 662 to Skyline High School will serve regular stops on 40th Street at West Street and on 40th Street at Webster Street, but not stops between these two points.

These detours will be in effect from the start of service Friday morning until 11 a.m.
