ROHNERT PARK (KRON) — The father who possibly abducted his daughters at an after school program at the YMCA in Rohnert Park Tuesday has been arrested, according to police.
The girls, 11-year-old Kyra and 9-year-old Alyssa, are safe and were taken into protective custody, police said.
45-year-old Everett Reep was arrested outside a residence he has on Arista Lane in Santa Rosa for two counts of felony child endangerment and one count of committing a felony while out on bail.
On May 5, Reep from Rohnert Park was able to get an emergency custody order, even after being servied with a temporary restraining order keeping him from his ex-wife and their children.
After getting the emergency custody order, Reep picked up his two oldest daughters.
The next day, the children’s mother told the court that had issued the custody order about the situation. The emergency custody order was reversed, giving temporary custody of the children back to her.
Officials tried to call Reep, but it appeared he had turned his phone off. He did not respond to any text messages, voicemails or emails.
Police thought that Reep may have been driving to Washington. He was stopped on the Interstate 5 in Oregon on the Wednesday evening.
