LOS ANGELES (KRON) — A plane carrying 43 people landed safely at LAX Monday morning after reporting mechanical problems with its landing gear, officials said.
The crew of a SkyWest Airlines plane reported “problems” as it approached the airport to land at about 8:30 a.m., LAX spokeswoman Katherine Alvarado told Los Angeles news station KTLA.
The jet was unable to extend its left main landing gear before landing on runway 24L, Ian Gregor with the Federal Aviation Administration said.
Emergency crews quickly surrounded the plane after it came to stop, with the landing gear still retracted.
There were no reported injuries.
