Governor Brown welcomes a new family member

SACRAMENTO (KRON) — Governor Jerry Brown’s family just got a little bit bigger.

Brown and his wife, Ann Gust Brown, announced Friday that they adopted a second dog named Colusa “Lucy” Brown.

The Brown’s already have an 11-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Sutter Brown who has a large social following.

Through Twitter, Sutter announced that he would retain the title of first dog.

Colusa has been appointed deputy first dog.

The two month old puppy is a mix of Pembroke Welsh Corgi and Border Collie.

She was adopted this week from a family in Red Bluff. She’s named for the county where Brown owns property.
