SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A San Francisco State University official said there was no bomb threat to its campus Friday morning.
It was earlier reported that police had cleared the university following reports of a bomb threat.
This morning, someone posted social media messages about a threat. A campus official told KRON that they are looking into the matter.
“I do know that there was no bomb threat,” said SFSU spokesperson Ellen Griffin. “We need to make sure the misinformation is dealt with immediately.”
The university is in its final two weeks of the spring semester.
Last Wednesday, officers stormed San Jose State University after campus administrators received an anonymous text about a person with a gun. Police shut down parts of the campus including Duncan Hall, a science building located on the southern end of campus, before clearing the school of any threat.
