Police searching for suspect in Campbell attempted abduction

CAMPBELL (KRON) – Police are searching for a male suspect in an attempted child abduction on Saturday morning in Campbell.

Officers responded to a report of an attempted child abduction near the intersection of Maysun Court and Harriet Avenue.

According to police, the young female victim was walking her dog in the neighborhood when the suspect pulled alongside her asking for directions.

Police say the suspect got out of his car, approached the victim, then grabbed her. After the victim screamed for help, the suspect fled from the scene in his vehicle

Police describe the suspect as Asian or Hispanic in his mid 30s, standing five feet seven inches tall with a medium build.

The suspect was wearing a black and white beanie and a tan or brown long coat with fur on the cuffs, according to police.

Police say the suspect’s vehicle is an older model four-door sedan, likely a 1998-2002 Honda Accord, that is possible silver or beige in color.
