SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — KRON 4’s Stanley Roberts was on a ride-along with Officer Bowers of the California Highway Patrol when he came across some people behaving badly with their vehicle’s registration.
It all started out as a routine traffic stop after two vehicles drove past a school bus with its stop sign activated.
Both of the drivers pulled over for Officer Bowers, but one had trouble finding his vehicle registration.
A few minutes later, the reason why is apparent. According to Bowers, the driver had a fake registration sticker on this truck.
It was went downhill for the truck driver after that. His car was impounded for having false registration tags it.
It will stay in car jail until its registered owner, a San Francisco firefighter, comes to pick it up.
