Police search for hit-and-run driver from Newark car crash, rollover

NEWARK (KRON) — Police are searching for a suspected hit-and-run driver after an early Friday morning collision in Newark during which one car rolled over and caused the intersection to be closed for several hours, according to police.

Shortly before 2 a.m., officers of the Newark Police Department responded to a vehicle collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of Cedar Boulevard and Cedar Court, police said. Upon arrival, officers located a Honda Sedan that had rolled over on its top and a Pontiac located on the sidewalk a short distance away.

Of the three occupants inside the rolled vehicle, one person was reported to have sustained a minor injury.

Due to the amount of debris at the scene of the collision, the Newark Police Department Traffic Division responded to conduct a collision investigation.
