Second man who beat Bryan Stow gets federal time

LOS ANGELES (KRON) – A second man has been sentenced to federal prison in connection to a brutal beating of a San Francisco Giants fan outside of Dodger Stadium in 2011.

Marvin Norwood was sentenced Thursday to 2 ½ years in federal prison for weapons possession. Due to time served, he will be released next year.

The firearms case came after police investigated the opening day attack of Bryan Stow, who was left with permanent brain damage. Police found weapons and ammunition belonging to Louie Sanchez at Norwood’s Rialto home.

Norwood was transferred to federal custody in 2014 after serving almost three years behind bars for Stow’s beating.bryan-stow-attackers

Sanchez, 33, was sentenced a few weeks ago to six years in federal prison for weapons possession, adding about three years to his state prison sentence for the Stow attack.
