Elderly man missing from Stanford hospital found safe

PALO ALTO (KRON) — An elderly man who went missing from a Stanford Hospital Monday afternoon has been found safe, according to Palo Alto police.

Martin Tannian Jr., 84 went missing around 1:30 p/m/ Monday after walking out of Stanford Hospital at 300 Pasteur Drive, police said.

Tannian, who uses a walker, had been discharged from the hospital and was waiting for a ride home, but did not get picked up by his planned ride, police said.

When his ride arrived, he was nowhere to be found.

Tannian was later found at 9:50 p.m. safe in his Sunnyvale home, according to police.
