$1 Million lottery scratcher sold at Pleasant Hill 7-Eleven

PLEASANT HILL (KRON) — A winning million dollar lottery ticket was purchased in Pleasant Hill Monday, according to California Lottery officials.

Peggy Cuevas said her husband brought home a “50X The Cash” ticket and she scratched it to discover she won the top prize of $1 million.

The 7-Eleven where the winning ticket was purchased, located at 17 Golf Club Road, is also a winner, and will receive a retailer bonus of $5,000, lottery officials said.

In the excitement of being a winner, Cuevas wanted to go to the lotto offices immediately.  Unfortunately, the offices weren’t open so while she waited Cuevas made breakfast for her family.

“It was so early the lottery offices weren’t even open yet, so I made breakfast for everyone and waited,” Cuevas said in a statement.

According to lottery officials, the family plans to buy a house, car and boat with the winnings and will possibly take a cruise next year for their anniversary.
