UPDATE: Ishneet Kaur, the two-year-old bitten by a rattlesnake on Wednesday, is out of intensive care according to Children’s Hospital in Oakland. The toddler is now sitting up and trying to play.
Although doctors continues to follow her recovery, they expect her to be released sometime over the next few days.
BAY POINT (KRON) — The two-year-old from Bay Point who was airlifted to the hospital after being bitten by a rattlesnake is now in stable condition, according to hospital officials.
Contra Costa Fire Marshal Robert Marshall said that the toddler was bit around 7:55 p.m. in the area where Bay Point borders Bay Pittsburg
A helicopter arrived at the scene by 8:31 p.m. and just 16 minutes later, the helicopter was on its way to Children’s Hospital in Oakland.
This snake bite comes just after a 4-year-old boy was bit by a rattlesnake in Folsom.
The girl was bit on the leg, which is still swollen. She will be held overnight for monitoring.
