SALINAS (KRON) — A suspect wanted in connection with a series of armed robberies in Salinas is in police custody.
Salinas Police says 39-year-old Kelly Grimm was arrested last Wednesday when detectives located him at a home on Cleveland Avenue. The U.S. Marshals Service and the Monterey County Narcotics and Gang task force assisted in the arrest.
Grimm is suspected of carrying out seven robberies at businesses in Salinas. Investigators say he robbed the businesses at gunpoint. Police say they’re looking into whether he his behind additional robberies in other nearby counties.
Grimm has been booked into the Monterey County Jail, where he is being held in lieu of $310,000 bail, according to jail records.
