CHARLESTON, S.C. (KRON) — At about 8 p.m. Wednesday night, 21-year-old Dylann Storm Roof attended a bible study at a historically black church in South Carolina. He sat with the congregation as State Senator and church pastor, Rev. Clementa Pinkley, held prayer service.
An hour later, Roof opened fire on the group killing nine people, according to police. Among the shooting victims is a 5-year-old who survived the attack by playing dead.
