SUISUN (BCN)–The Suisun City Police Department announced Friday the launch of a new smartphone app that police say will help enhance communications between the Police Department and residents.
Through the new app, police will release press releases, bulletins, alerts, events and more, according to police.
The alerts will help inform residents of critical incidents that may create safety issues for the community, police said.
Additionally, all information put onto the app will automatically be posted to the department’s Facebook page, Twitter feed and website, according to police.
Residents will also be able to communicate with police through the app.
Residents can now submit crime tips, safety concerns, extra patrol requests, reports of homeless encampments, traffic concerns and more, police said.
The app also provides easy one-touch calling for non-emergency calls, police said.
The app is free to download and can be found in app stores by searching for the Suisun City Police Department, according to police.
