The skies will light up all over the Bay Area starting Friday night, and we’ll be there to cover it! Tune in to KRON 4 on July 4th at 9 p.m. for our big LIVE fireworks special.

We’re bringing the biggest and best fireworks shows from all over the Bay Area. No sparklers here (although we love sparklers). It all starts Friday night at 9 p.m.  Wanna join the fun live from the scene with KRON 4? Our crews will be at:

The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular promises to live up to its name with non-stop, razzle-dazzle fireworks set to music performed by the Oakland East Bay Symphony and we will have a Salute to Hometown Heroes Video before fireworks! Show starts at approximately 9:30 p.m., with best viewing at the Grandstand area.

The 4th of July is a great day to have a lot of fun. The biggest party is at the Berkeley Marina from noon-10PM with all kinds of free fun! Adventure Playground, always a favorite, where children can build with hammers, nails, saws, paint and parental supervision, is open until 8PM. Get your face painted, try the giant slide, or splash in the water at the beach!

There’s yummy food trucks and booths, handmade crafts, free dragon boat rowing from 12-5PM, massages, live pony rides and carnival rides near Skates, an inflatable bouncy area, mini-train rides, giant slides, and water bubble ball rides all culminating in the grand fireworks over the water from the end of the Berkeley Pier at 9:35PM which are presented by the City of Berkeley.
